Marvelous Mondays: Pattern Mixing

Happy Marvelous Monday! Hope everyone's week is off to a great start. I had kind of a stressful day at work today, but I'm happily relaxing at home now. :)

If you're new to the blog, here's the idea behind Marvelous Monday:
"Our philosophy: Monday is nobody’s favorite day of the week, but maybe its terrible reputation is a little undeserved. We’re on a mission to make ours (and hopefully yours) a little less awful by dressing marvelously!"

There are currently 5 of us participating in the challenges, so make sure to check out the other ladies' looks! I've posted links at the bottom of this entry for your perusal.

This week the theme was "pattern mixing." I am so not good at this! I really do admire people who are able to effortlessly mix their patterns, but it doesn't come so easily to me. Still, I gave it a go in the spirit of the challenge! I really wanted to try this look with a floral print skirt, but unfortunately I couldn't find one that fit in my budget in time.

polka dot tank, ross. triangle jacket and hi-lo skirt, f21+. bow-back wedges, dots.

And my hubs wanted to get in on the action, too!

striped t-shirt, target. camo shorts, wal-mart. boat shoes, rackroom shoes.

LOL!

Don't forget to check out these lovely ladies!

  1. Hey! I have that skirt! Haha.
I love this look, though! The triangles and polka-dots just look so good together, and the fluorescent coral (I swear that's what colour the band at the bottom of the skirt is) works so well with it. :)
