Chunky Sweater

It was super windy when we were trying to take these! My hair was going crazy and I couldn't keep my eyes open, haha. But I think they turned out okay! I love when my fiance snaps the photos-- I think they come out a lot better.

We're on our way up to the mountains today to spend some time with some of our close friends. I'm stoked! It's usually a lot colder up there though so I'm prepared to be shivering by the time we head back down.

Christmas Plaid

Hello again, lovelies! Hope this Christmas finds you all in good spirits. I spent the day with my beau and my BFF (and her brother)-- we went to go see The Hobbit. Loved it! Of course I'm a huge nerd so that was pretty much guranteed going in.

Cheetah Christmas

Hey lovelies! Figured we'd return to our regularly scheduled program-- so I'm back with an outfit post! :) I wore this today to Christmas festivities with my future in-laws. We had a good time, including a few hilarious rounds of charades.

It's finally starting to get a little chilly in my neck of the woods, so I tossed my new cardi over the dress as we headed out. The back is a panel of some kind of satiny fabric, I love the interesting combination of textures.

Horrible Hair!

So I recently got my hair cut, and I HATE it! I just wanted my bangs trimmed (they're normally sideswept), but somehow that was lost in translation and I ended up with really short, stringy, blunt bangs. Sigh. All I can say is I hope they're totally grown out by the time my wedding rolls around in May, or I will be on seriously unhappy camper. :(

Tribal Dress

I'm never as happy with my blog photos when I take them using a tripod, but oh well. I can't make my fiancee take the photos every single time! (Well, I probably could, but I wouldn't.)

I feel like I've been gone for ages! I had a horrible stomach virus the second week my family was visiting, and it knocked me out of commision for a while there. But I'm happy to report I'm feeling much better today.

Red Hot Tamale

Here's what I wore today! This isn't the most "flattering" outfit, but I'm getting the point in my acceptance of myself and my body that I don't care as much about hiding what some people might consider flaws. What I have is beautiful and a gift and it's meant to be celebrated! Life is too short and tough to push off loving yourself until you reach some vague goal in the undetermined future. Love yourself now! I do! :)

Lace and Grunge

Today was kind of a bittersweet day for me. Veterans Day (today) falls on the same date as my grandfather's birthday. He was a WWII veteran so it's always been a very special day for us as a family. But my grandfather passed away last year, and it's been very difficult for me to deal with. We were very close and he had a large part in my upbringing. I tried very hard to remember all the funny, wonderful things about him, but it's tough not to get at least a little sad about it.

But enough of that downer-- on to the outfit! :)
