Hello, loves! So yesterday I bid adieu to my awesome coral hair. Parting is such sweet sorrow, but I really missed wearing all the pinks and corals I have in my closet. I just thought it was a little bit overkill to have pink hair and a matching ensemble, haha. It was totally fun while it lasted, though! Even all the weird looks I got shot while running around town.
I actually tried to dye it a dark chocolate brown... and ended up with GREEN. And not a cool, intentional green, either. It was like the olive green color of army fatigues. Yikes!! I did it myself with kool aid. I know. I never got past 15-years-old.
But I actually fixed it with kool aid too, so there's that! After a little googling I realized that it happened because the top part of my hair was so yellow. So I added a little pinkish red over the top and voila! Back to my natural color.
So! It's not the dark brown I wanted, but at least it's nice looking. I'll probably give dark brown another try once my poor little scalp has had some R&R.
How about you? What's going on with your hair?! :D

Comfy Homebody
As I've discussed before, I now work from home. I run my online boutique, and also sell things on eBay and Etsy! While this is super fun and gives me a ton of flexibility, I have to admit that I don't exactly get dressed to the nines every day. Most days I don't even wear shoes! So I wanted to share this outfit just to give a little glimpse into my daily life.
There's really not much more comfortable than a breezy maxi dress. Plus, it's cute! I like the mustard ikat print on this one.
I still shower and get dressed even though I do a lot of work from my couch. I just can't wake up and feel productive without a shower and a fresh change of clothes.
What about you guys? Do you do your best work in sweats? I'm not dissing the merits of coziness!

Chartreuse and Autumn Wishes
I never thought I'd actually say this, but I am SO ready for Fall. I love warm weather, but enough is enough! After driving to the post office for the third time this week with no a/c in my car, I am totally over this hot weather. This outfit was certainly wishful thinking on my part. I'm so ready for long sleeves, boots, and hot chocolate. But even this lightweight blouse was a little much for 80 degrees fahrenheit.
I'm not sorry though, because I'm in love with this top! It's such a gorgeous chartreuse color. Which is probably a little over the top considering I have coral hair. But HEY! Go big or go home.
I'm staying super busy lately. My hubby has been having some minor medical issues, so I've been scrambling around trying to take care of everything at home. Hopefully he'll be better soon.
Mental health wise, things have been really good! When you have anxiety, you can go for quite a while without an incident. I still get nervous in certain situations because I've learned to associate them with panic symptoms. But all in all I'd say things are going excellently right now.
So how are you guys? Is the weather cooling off in your part of the world?

Belted Stripes and Thanks!
I wore this to take my kitten to the vet and to mail some packages for my new customers! I'm so excited that things are starting to take off for my little shop. It took a lot of nerve for me to quit my job and start this new chapter of my life. The last few months have been a whirlwind of anxiety and nervousness and hopefulness. It's finally starting to look like this may actually work, and I feel the need to pinch myself just about every five minutes.
Being able to work from home and pretty much set my own schedule has taken so much weight off my shoulders. My anxiety level has been markedly less as a direct result. I just feel so eternally thankful for everyone who has supported my shop for making this life change possible for me and my husband. Please keep checking back as I plan on adding more and more things all the time.
Today was my new kitty's last visit to the vet for a whole year. I'm STOKED! It's been a long couple months with him. When he first came to live with us he had a really gnarly upper respiratory infection, along with a whole host of parasites. We couldn't get him vaccinated and fixed until we cleared up his other issues, and it took almost a month just to get his sniffling and cough to go away. But now he's healthy and happy (and neutered)! He's my little 5-pound lovebug, haha.
Hope everyone's week has been great! Mine has definitely ended on a positive note. :)

Love Your Self(ie)!
I used to hate, hate, hate having my picture taken. I was so insecure and so not into the way that I looked, I just hated seeing pictures of myself. Folks, that is so wrong and messed up! Taking pictures of yourself is one of the most positive (and in my experience, most successful) ways of learning to love yourself and your body. Study your shape, your face, your everything. Memorize every freckle and line and curve, and eventually (I promise!) you will start to see the beauty in it all.
I think the emergence of the "selfie" is one of the most beneficial things out there for anyone with body image issues. For one thing, sharing a bunch of selfies is empowering to other people just like you! Who doesn't want to see pictures of some cute person, doing their thing, feeling confident and beautiful? NO ONE. Confidence, like happiness, is contagious. The more positive images of real, everyday people you can surround yourself with, the most you will start to feel like that could be you.
The reason I seriously love this shirt is, obviously, (hellooooo) because I'm a big promoter of its message. 1.) LOVE YOURSELF. and 2.) TAKING SELFIES IS A GREAT WAY TO DO THAT. I had to have it as soon I saw it hanging on the rack. Cute cold shoulders were a plus, too!
Be rebellious-- don't listen to the messages inherent in media and our culture that tell you you aren't good enough or pretty enough. Because you are! I PROMISE!
I'm so passionate about people feeling good in their own skin. Please, if you haven't already tried it, take some selfies! You don't even have to share them with the world if you're not ready yet. This exercise is just for you. Stretch those self-love muscles and eventually you will be a body positive champion. And take it from me, that's a good thing to be.
